Information for Incoming Students
We are excited that you have chosen the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS) for your education and look forward to your arrival. The information presented in these pages is designed to help you prepare for matriculation.
Please review the Academic Calendar for important dates. Note that all Basic Science students, both Masters and PhD, must be continuously enrolled, and do not have summers off. While exact schedules are worked out with the supervising faculty in the lab, students receive 15 work days of vacation a year, and are otherwise expected to be in the lab when they are not in class.
There is no need to wait to get started. Requirements for matriculation will also be posted on your status page in Slate, so you can track your progress in completing all of the steps there.
Welcome to GSBS!
