New initiatives support career development with biotech and pharma
Jaharis Building in the spring

I have events in the next two weeks that illustrate the varied activities at Sackler and my mission as Dean. Monday, I will meet with the Tufts Advisory Partners, to explore how student consultants could work with local venture capital. Tuesday, I will attend the 12th annual Biopharma Summit to promote the Sackler school to industry and academic leaders and understand current R&D trends. Wednesday, I will talk about art and science at a Chinese banquet hosted by Drug Delivery Experts Inc. to permit 20 Sackler students to network with 80 leaders in this sector. Thursday, I will enjoy how we have emerged as a local leader by attending the annual Tufts Neuroscience Symposium. Next Friday, I will visit the Mass Bio Life Sciences Workforce Conference that addresses how to increase diversity in the biomedical workforce. And finally, and best of all, the graduate reception and commencement events will celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates and award winners. Weeks like this, I love my job.
