Associate Dean's Message - December 5, 2022

The health and wellbeing of our students in one of the major areas we emphasize in our student support services. GSBS works with the University and the other Health Sciences schools to evaluate and provide new/updated services to our students. Work is ongoing in two areas:

Student Health Insurance

Each year we review the student health insurance regarding the total cost and benefits. There has much discussion the past few years regarding changes in the insurance and the Graduate Student Council is conducting a survey of GSBS students to gather feedback regarding the current insurance plan. If you have not done so, please complete the health insurance survey this week.

Boston Health Services

GSBS, in conversation with the other Health Sciences schools, has begun looking at the need for accessible student health services on the Boston Health Sciences Campus. An external consultant will be conducting focus groups consisting of students from each of the health science schools to gather feedback. The GSBS student session will be held on Friday, December 9 at noon via Zoom. If you are based in Boston and are interested in attending, please register for the focus group via this form. The zoom link will be sent to attendees on Thursday.
