My project focuses on the role of dematin in hepatocytes. Dematin is a membrane cytoskeleton associated protein known to regulate calcium mobilization and signaling in platelets. I am interested in understanding the function of dematin in hepatocytes by analyzing the various signaling pathways using newly generated liver specific dematin knockout mice.
