Research synopsis:

My research involves examining pressure overload-induced heart failure and subsequent cardiac hypertrophy in a murine model. I am looking at the mechanisms by which duel neutral endopeptidase and angiotensin receptor inhibition prevent pathological cardiac remodeling. My work follows that of the novel finding from Blanton Lab on the importance of PGKIα signaling in heart failure.
